Hi Friends!
Mondayโs letter about 92 days remaining in 2024 generated a lot of buzz in my inbox. Most people were as surprised as I am that the year-end is that near. I appreciate all of your messages and agree with you that the next 90 days are critical. My goal is to end the year healthy and on a high note in the areas of my life and work that matter most to me, and thatโs my goal for you, too.ย
So, with that in mind, Iโm thrilled to invite you to partner with me in 90 Days to Live Your Opus, a special challenge that will take place right here in my letters. Iโve even recorded this letter so that you wonโt miss it! (Check the Substack platform if the audio isnโt showing over email.)
You see, I signed my book contract this weekโyay! (Now the catโs out of the bag, and the work begins!) This means I have between now and the end of the year to finish a solid manuscript, and I have a ways to go. So, the way I see it: you have goals, I have goalsโฆletโs get into this together!ย
Are you in?
I hope the sigh I just heard you take was relief that you donโt have to go it alone! If, by chance, it was an anxious sigh or a sigh about not wanting to add yet another thing to this year, then hear me out before you stop reading.
Research shows that community and camaraderie help us: connecting to others gives us shared purpose and accountability, not to mention collective wisdom.ย
My promise to you is that over the next 90 Days, Iโll show up here twice a week with you to share structures and tools from my book, which I and others have used with great success, and my stories, which are bound to help you feel that youโre not alone. And I hope that youโll share yours as well. Thatโs how a community works, right?
The 90-Days to Live Your Opus challenge is for you if you:
Have a goal to achieve between now and the end of the year in your life or at work.ย ย
Are making a significant life moveโa promotion, new job, city, country, or babyโฆyou get the idea here.
Or, you need a breakthroughโstat!
To join, youโve only got to take two steps:ย
subscribe to my newsletter (hooray to you if youโre already a subscriber!), and
make a promise to yourself (more information about that is below).
So, are you in now?ย
Remember, Iโm big on being โall-in,โ and research supports this.
โโฆif youโre not all in, youโre only cheating yourself because youโre not likely to get what you want out of whatever youโre driving forward without being all in.โ (LINK)
So, no half-assing it, okay? And no burnout, either. Remember, my goal is to end the year healthy and on a high note in the areas of my life and work that matter most to me. And thatโs my goal for you, too.
Now, about that promise to yourself...youโll see my signed promise below, and yours is attached at the bottom of this letter, ready for you to sign.
So go ahead and print and sign it, or open it up in PDF and sign it electronically. Then, post a printed copyโor take a screenshot and make it your laptop or phone wallpaperโso you can see it daily.
One last thing
I hope this book Iโm writing, Live Your Opus, will be more than just a book; I hope it will spark a movement. But, to do that, I need your help.
Live Your Opus is a book for ambitious people like you and me who want โmoreโ from our lives, careers, or businesses but are struggling to get there. People who may not yet realize that it is possible to achieve lasting success that feels as good as it looks by raising the bar on yourself and your dreams, life, and work.
This book comes from my experience building a global career and raising three children across three countries, and hitting burnout at the same time my mom was killed in a car crash. That experience knocked me harder than anything else in my life, but it also gave me a second life, and it gave me Live Your Opus.
Now, I donโt let a day go by without raising the bar in my life and moving myself toward my dreams. My mission is simple: to share tools and advice that empower and inspire you to aim higher in your life and work so you find success that lasts and makes you feel great inside and out.
Having learned from my long and rocky journey, my goal is to help you get โthereโ faster and with fewer scars.
So, if youโre all-in on the 90-day Challenge and want to help me create a movement, feel free to share your Opus Life Promise with your friends and colleagues or post it below in the comments, where Iโll respond.ย
As always, thanks for being here with me as you Live Your Opus. If these wordsโor the 90 Days to Live Your Opus challengeโresonate with you, feel free to share them on social media or with someone else who might need this nudge or support today.
Until next time, be well!
