Hello Friends!
So, itโs the 1st of October today; do you know what that means?
There are 92 days left in the year!
I realized this as I wrote in my journal this morning, and my brain went into a slight panic:
How to finish my book in 90 days?
How to launch a program in 90 days?
How do I accomplish the rest of my goals for 2024 in (just) 90 days?
Maybe your brain has gone into a slight panic as well.ย But have no fear!
Despite all that you and I have left to do this year, I am confident that we can find a way to ensure we accomplish the most important things.
As I talked myself off the ledge, I asked myself a question, which I invite you to ask yourself too:
Which tasks or activities I need to complete in 2024 are most important? Which ones will have the most impact on my future?
Although several activities in progress will impact my future, when I stepped back, it was clear that only one of them is โthe most important.โ After all, we canโt get to everything, so it's best to accomplish whatโs most important.ย
My most important goal is to complete or get close to finishing my book, Live Your Opus, which will be published in 2025.
So, thatโs my one BIG goal for the next 92 days.
With that in mind, I asked myself:
What can I deprioritize over the coming weeks to make more space for that goal?
Now, Iโve got clients and ambitious Q4 plans, but if Iโm going to make space for THE most important goal, something will have to give.
So, here are a few things that I came up with:
I can get less fussy with the revisions to my website so that the changes take less time (my web designer might be happy reading this!).
I can put Netflix on hold until the holidays (guilty!).
I can ensure that writing the book is part of each day.
I can not add further travel to my schedule.
I also know Iโve got several superpowers in my back pocket to help me gain momentum; youโll have some, too. So I asked myself:
What superpowers can I lean into to gain momentum?
One of my strengths is my ability to work long, focused hours. This is a great strength, but it has a dark side that I must manageโworking too hard for too long most certainly leads to burnout symptoms.
So, I asked myself:
How can I use my strengths to my advantage while caring for myself and ensuring I donโt feel fried?
The answer comes easily to me now that Iโve had a lot of practice: I lean into all the habits that support me physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually and train as if my life depended on it.
This means getting back to basics, which Iโve written about before, and not skimping on all the practices that support me, including cardio, yoga, meditation, my diet, good sleep, screen breaks, and more.
So, what about you? What will you do with the last 92 days of the year?
Which tasks or activities you need to complete in 2024 are most important? Which ones will have the most impact on your future?
What can you deprioritize over the coming weeks to make more space for that goal?
What superpowers can you lean into to gain momentum?
How can you use your strengths to your advantage while caring for yourself and ensuring you donโt feel fried?
There may only be 92 days left in 2024, but I am confident that you and I can rock them with the right focus and support!ย
Hereโs to the next 92 days!
Iโd love to hear your priorities for the rest of the year and how youโre handling any pressure to gain momentum; feel free to share them in the comments below.
Please let me know if youโre feeling stuck or if I can be helpful to you in some way.
Thanks for being here with me as you Live Your Opus. If these words resonate with you, feel free to share them on social media or with someone else who might need this nudge or support today.
