We were sitting in a circle on a rooftop in Jaipurโthe breeze moving through the late afternoon sun, soft light settling on the rose-hued city in the distance.
My co-presenter, Lina, had just shared what inspired her to start a schoolโa movement, reallyโin India. Dreamtime Learning teaches children not just academics but the skills to master themselves.
She didnโt pause.
โI want to know what happens when we give children the tools and practices to truly think for themselvesโto master themselves, to master their lives.โ
That was it. The question beneath the mission. Clear, fierce, deeply human.
It wasnโt a slogan or a strategic plan. It was a driving question. One that shapes her path, work, and way of being.
And as she spoke, I felt something shift in the circle. Not just in me but in everyone. Because we recognized something in her clarityโa mirror, maybe. Or a quiet invitation:
What big question is guiding you?
And what might change if you chose one on purpose?
The Questions Behind Our Lives
Some questions we live by are bold and visionary:
What if my work felt like art?
What does a life of joy and impact look like for me?
Can I do this differently from everyone else and still succeed?
Some are quieter, even unconscious:
What do I need to do to be accepted?
How do I prove Iโm enough?
What happens if I fail?
Some questions drive us forward. Others keep us stuck in someone elseโs story.
And often, we donโt know which ones are guiding us until we pause and ask.
The Power of a Question-Driven Life
An Opus LifeTM isnโt built on a single goal. Itโs built on an evolving set of questions guiding your energy, attention, and creative force.
When you name the right questionโyour questionโit becomes a compass. A quiet current beneath your choices. A source of clarity when things get noisy.
The most vibrant people I know arenโt just chasing achievement. Theyโre chasing meaning. Theyโre living into questions that feel equal parts terrifying and true. And thatโs where the magic livesโnot in the answer, but in the willingness to stay in the inquiry.
So, Whatโs Yours?
Since returning from India, Iโve been sitting with mine. Refining it and recommitting to it.
How do I expand my lifeโs workโhelping others remember who they are and live their Opusโwhile deepening the life and well-being my work is meant to nourish?
Itโs not a riddle I need to solve today. Itโs a rhythm Iโm learning to live by.
And now, I gently offer the same invitation to you:
What questions have been silently shaping your life?
Is it one you choseโor one you inherited?
What question do you want to start living intoโon purpose?
Write it down. Keep it close. Let it guide you.
Because your questions are more than thoughts. They are the beginning of your Opus.
Until next time, be well!
As always, thank you for being here. If this resonates with you, please share this letter with others who might benefit. Thank you!
